The Weight and The Anchor

September 21, 2025

I was taught a hard, cold lie: that to be a man means to be unbreakable, to swallow the tears and call the crippling weight of failure strength. I learned to lock it all down, to grit my teeth and press on.

But the dam always breaks. What I stifle in the light rages free in the darkness, spilling out in the quiet, lonely hours of the night.

I am only alive because God saved me. Had He not intervened, I would be gone.

To my Lord, my deepest gratitude. I know I am a total mess—a chaos of flaws and failures. Yet, You never flinch. Thank You for standing by this broken man, never letting go.

Psalm 34:18 (ESV):

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”
